A 2-player sci-fi skirmish wargame with a lean ruleset, four asymmetric factions, and enough tactical depth to reward every hour you put in.
Somewhere in a sealed star system, four factions have been fighting the same war for generations. On the table, that war lasts four rounds — and every activation is a calculation. Score Victory Points, execute the contracts, and read the event card better than your opponent.k in launch-day pricing, the free Quickstart PDF, and a printable starter warband.

The Warcode is a 2-player tactical miniature game, where two squads of eight units fight for control of key positions across a sci-fi battlefield. Four rounds, alternating activations, Victory Points counted at the end of each round. Ammo is finite, reloading costs an action, map events are known in advance, and gear dropped by killed units stays on the board for anyone to take. When you fall behind on VPs, you draw a hidden contract — a secret assassination target that gives you a way back in.
Most skirmish games create variety through content: new factions, new supplements, new editions. The Warcode creates it through systems. The same two factions on the same map play a different strategic game depending on where the capture points land, what the event card demands, and whether your opponent is ahead or behind on VP. The four factions each have a different skill curve and a different ceiling. The game grows with you instead of flattening out after the first dozen matches.

The Warcode has been through dozens of internal playtests and external sessions with players coming from different wargaming backgrounds. The rules have been stress-tested, the faction balance has been tuned, and the edge cases have been found and resolved. What launches on Gamefound in September is not a prototype.
We've run dozens of internal sessions and external playtests with players from different wargaming backgrounds. The rules are tight, the factions are balanced, and the edge cases have been found and resolved. What we're bringing to Gamefound in September is a game we've already spent a long time at the table with.

Every match starts with a die roll that determines which of six capture point layouts is active. That single decision changes the VP math, shifts which positions are worth holding, and determines whether the optimal approach is aggressive or positional. Add the event card for the round, and the map becomes a dynamic problem — one that neither player fully controls.

The trailer hit 24,000 views in its first two weeks. Here's what the wargaming community said.

No. Physical editions ship as complete, ready-to-play products. The STL edition is for players who prefer to print their own copies. Both paths lead to the same game.
You choose a pledge tier during the campaign. If the campaign funds, your pledge is collected and your reward ships. Early backers always get the best available pricing — which is why subscribing now matters.
A launch notification and the occasional update if something significant happens before September. That's it.
The Warcode is a physical tabletop skirmish game — miniatures, a printed board, tokens, and cards played across a real table. The trailer was animated to show how the game plays, but everything you saw happens with physical miniatures in front of you.
Yes to both. Terrain will be available as a separate add-on, and STL files for the terrain will be available for players who want to print their own. The terrain STLs are optimized for FDM printing.
